Amazon BSR can give you an idea of how well a product is selling compared with other products in the same category. However, BSR does not provide an exact sales number.
For example, knowing that a product has a BSR of #100 does not tell you exactly how many units it sells each day or month. Sales can also vary between different categories and subcategories.
Some sellers use third-party tools to estimate sales from BSR, but these are estimates rather than Amazon’s actual sales data.
For better product research, use BSR along with reviews, pricing, competition, keyword demand, and other available data.
